Sacred Gourd Vessel
Spider Web Basket
Gourdly Rattle
In this 5-hour class you will learn how to safely work with gourds as you open your gourd. You will then learn how to apply various paints, inks and dyes to create your own unique surface color and design. Add a few embellishments, and you have a special sacred gourd vessel!
Give your adventurous self a treat as you create a basket with gleaming copper wire! This special weave creates the look of a beautiful spider's web. Add beads of your choice to give it a touch of color and your resident spider will be thrilled!
Gourds are Nature's rattles, so we'll use a small gourd, a shapely branch, paints or woodburning tool to fashion a rattle. Add some beads, fiber or other materials to give it your unique touch!
